Planting Guidelines on Council Green Verge
by Residents
- Trees of any type should not be planted by
residents on Council green verge.
- Residents who wish to beautify their frontage
shall only plant palms, shrubs and groundcovers. Residents
shall maintain all the plants planted by them. Plants
are required to be selected to suit the soil condition, location
and function.
- No palms with full-grown height six (6) meters
and above should be planted under SESCO overhead wire and on
top of underground service line.
- All types of plants should not be planted at
any road junctions.
- Plants, which are obstructing traffic view,
will be removed immediately.
- All type of vegetables should not be planted
on Council green verge.
- Road verge with width one (1) meter or less
shall not be planted with any plants.
